Gene N. Chavez

Bio
Gene N. Chavez is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1995, he earned an undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico in Communication, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1999. Mr. Chavez served as an Assistant District Attorney in San Juan County and Bernalillo County prior to entering private practice. Mr. Chavez has extensive experience working in private practice, as he worked as an
associate attorney for a prominent insurance defense law firm.Mr. Chavez is licensed to practice law throughout New Mexico. He has practiced in a wide range of legal areas including criminal defense, worker's compensation, personal injury, wrongful death, landlord/tenant and
consumer law.

Mr. Chavez has been active in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, has served as the director of the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association and served as regional president of the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Belle Bueno
Legal Assistant, Staff Supervisor

Belle is from Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she received her paralegal degree from NMSU/DABCC in 1996.  She came to live in Albuquerque in 2001 and has worked with several attorneys in the Albuquerque area and has a variety of legal experience in different fields. 
Currently she is a legal assistant for Chaves Law Offices. 
 
Belle is bilingual and enjoys her job, she likes helping and talking to her clients.  Her hobbies are traveling and sewing for her two granddaughters.
